There are reports of an explosion near the Chauburji Chowk of Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab, killing one person.
According to Baaghi TV reports, the blast took place at a private bank in Chauburji Chowk. The roof of the bank collapsed as a result of the explosion, and all the people in the bank were buried under the rubble.

Rescued 1122 and a heavy police force rushed to the scene. Seven people were buried under the rubble, and were rescued.

According to police, the explosion was caused by a gas leak. SSP Operations Faisal Shehzad said according to initial reports, the explosion was caused by gas leaks in various locations.
The explosion at the private bank in Chauburji Chowk happened around 1:45 pm.
The Police and other security agencies have taken control of the area and the cause of the collapse is being ascertained.
According to police, further investigations are underway and the area has been evacuated.
The management of Services in the Hospital has revealed that about seven injured persons have been shifted to the hospital while one person has died.
