A witness told authorities the car fled Delpan Bridge after the accident.

Perez was taken to Philippine General Hospital where he died at about 8:40 p.m.

“We can’t understand how this could happen to a person like Renz. He never died [of the new coronavirus] COVID-19 but ended up dying like this, ”said Vilma Paguio, a relative.

According to the Facebook post Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital (JJAGH), Perez worked there as a nurse from January to June. “She has worked hard and loves patients in the middle of the [COVID-19 pandemic] as a front liner,” he said.

He was due to start work at Quezon City Hospital soon. His father, Ricardo, even paid for his uniform.
