Ben May Death – Ben May Wellington Swim Coach Dies In Synergy Gym
The Synergy Gym club is temporarily closed following the death of a swimming coach, Ben May who died at the gym.
Ben May was reported to have died today August 31, 2020, after he was involved in a serious incident in a pool at the Synergy gym.
Ben May who recently moved to New Zealand to play rugby was a former competitive swimmer.
She had trained and coached alongside Olympic and Commonwealth medallists, the post read.
Synergy Health & Fitness Club confirmed that there was a tragic incident at the club which led to the untimely death of one of their staff.
The gym club in an official Facebook post penned their heartfelt tribute to staff member Ben May.
“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we notify you of the untimely passing of Ben May, Synergy swim coach and manager,” the post read.
Police, fire and ambulance attended the incident at The Terrace club about 7.30 am on Monday.
A police spokeswoman said there was no indication of any suspicious circumstances in relation to the death but would not comment further.
