Kai Burkett Death – Dead: Young Wrestler Kai Burkett has sadly passed away. Kai Burkett was reported to have died tragically late Friday in a car accident.
The vehicle Kai Burkett was into collided with another car with resulted in his sudden demise.
State police in Bedford identified Kai Burkett as the 17-year-old teen who was involved in a fatal crash Cortland Road in Napier Township at 10:23 p.m. The teen’s Nissan Altima swerved to miss debris and, upon re-entering the roadway, travelled sideways into the path of a Ford F-150XLT driven by Fernando Rodriguez, 57, of New Paris. Kai Burkett was was said to have died at the scene of the accident. Rodriguez and his passenger suffered minor injuries.
Burkett was the nephew of Chestnut Ridge head coach Josh Deputy, who was gathering with his team on Saturday.
The PA Power wrestling confirmed that Kai has passed on. In a series of tweets, they wrote: “Burkett was the nephew of Chestnut Ridge head coach Josh Deputy, who was gathering with his team on Saturday.”
