Robert Gordons College Mourns The Death Of Head Teacher, Owain Bristow

Owain Bristow Death – Dead – Robert Gordons College Head Teacher Dies: Robert Gordons College teacher, Owain Bristow has reportedly passed away. The top private school teacher in Aberdeen was feared dead in a climbing accident.
Owain Bristow, head of biology at Robert Gordon’s College, was reported missing since falling into water while rock climbing on August 28 2020.
Officers from CrudenBay, Peterhead and Fraserburgh Coastguard Rescue Teams launched a search from 6.30am to daylight after Owain was reported missing on Friday evening.
But on Monday the school shared it’s “deep sadness” after learning the weekend search had been unsuccessful.
Lessons have been cancelled, although the school has remained open.
A spokesman for the college said: “The Robert Gordon’s community is deeply saddened to learn of the tragic climbing accident near Bullers of Buchan, Peterhead, involving Mr Owain Bristow, head of biology, on Friday evening.
“During his time at RGC Mr Bristow inspired many of our pupils, staff and former pupils.
“The college is coming to terms with this devastating news and he will be greatly missed by us all.”
