Hon Soda Zhemu is a member of Zimbabwean National Assembly, he is from the Muzarabani North constituency.
He was born on 4 June 1974, He had his primary eduction in Muzarabani primary school and had his secondary eduction in Muzarabani Secndary school.
Hon Soda Zhemu went to Zimbabwe Open University and bagged a BCOM degree in Accounting and subsequently has his Masters in Business administration.
Under “other forms of training” the parliament website also notes that the new Minister undertook computer literacy and quality management systems training respectively.
Hon. Zhemu is said to have worked “as an accountant at Cottco Sanyati until 2004 and later joined Alliance Ginneries as Regional Manager but still within the cotton industry before retiring in 2017”.

Hon Soda Zhemu was on Friday 14 August 2020 appointed as the new minister of Energy and Power Development by the Zimbabwean president His Excellency Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa along with his counterpart Dr Anxious Jongwe Masuka who was appointed the new Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Water and Rural Resettlement with immediate effect.
