Angry residents of Turare village in Dutsin-ma Local Government Area are currently protesting incessant bandits attacks and killings by mounting road block on Dutsin-ma – Kankara highway.

 

In the early morning of Thursday 6, August 2020 The angry residents of Turare village in Dutsin-ma Local Government area trooped in their numbers to protet of the incessant attacks by armed groups, terrorizing their communities.

According to reports we gathered, the protesters has blocked the roads linking Dutsin Ma, Katsina and Kankara, calling for action against the frequent unrest and communal attacks going on in the community.

Protesters also reportedly set tyres ablaze, burnt billboards of the ruling party and called on the attention of the President and the Governor of the state.

Recently in June of this year, the people of Yan Tumaki community in Danmusa Local government stormed highways in protest of the incessant attacks by armed groups, terrorizing their communities.

One of the local resident, Shuaibu who is popularly known as `Yan Sakai` said, “the group rode motorcycles into our community around 11 pm with powerful sporadic gunshots terrorizing the people including women and children.

“They headed straight to the area of the late district head and kidnapped a health worker and his 17-year-old daughter.”

This attack happened just a week after the terrorists killed the district head of Yantumaki in Dan Musa Local Government Area of Katsina State.

HumAngle reports that the group arrived the community in the middle of the night wielding hundreds of sophisticated weapons.

Shuaibu elaborated the attack to HumAngle. He said, “the group was chanting names and calling the name of the Governor, Masari adding that he cannot stop them from doing their job.

“You must follow our rules for you to survive,” they ordered the residents.

The reports available to HumAngle show that the group spent more than an hour in the community, firing guns and terrorizing the people.
