Police has named Eric Eicas as the casualties who died over the weekend in a fatal crash in . Eric Eicas was said to have smashed his red Ford Fiesta into a tree located at the junction of America Road and Coggeshall Road, in Earls Colne.
Police officers attended the scene, at approximately 1.40am on Sunday morning, and a man who is now identified as Eric in his 20s was pronounced dead.
Another man, believed to be in his late teens, was also injured following the accident, and had to be rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Social media has been filled with tributes to Eric since the news of the accident.
Friends, family and colleagues of Eric have spoken of their heartbreak of losing him, as well as sharing their favourite photos and memories they have with him.
The road was closed for several hours following the incident, as the police investigated what had happened.

Thinking of you today Eric Eicas words can’t explain the hurt and upset it has brought to everyone, seeing all of these posts of Facebook just goes to show how many lives you had an impact on and how much of genuine, lovely and funny person you were I love just looking over your Facebook and looking at all the memories you’ve made with everyone over the years it makes me sit there laugh till I get a 2 pack because of how relatable and makes me remember how we used to laugh.
You would have me in absolute stitches and when my crazy and ugly laugh came out. the guilt I felt when I could’ve given you that lift home or made sure you got home safely I cannot stress enough.
No matter what I will always think of you and be grateful that I knew you, You were an amazing person and the memories I had with you will stay with me forever, you didn’t deserve this Eric and one day I will see you again and we can sit on the front of the bus acting like we were in year 7 again feeling so happy we got the front seats at the top or we will pick you up on the High street drunk as anything to take you home, whilst you were stumbling home or the times you would wind people up down the pub.
I am so BLESSED to have known you and your energy will live with us and in us all forever ♾ no matter what, you would laugh about anything and that is what I loved. I don’t know what the circumstances were but driving is a dangerous thing, and just in a second a loved one can be gone. It can happen to anyone and everyone so please love like no tomorrow and never take anything for granted ever again. Until we meet again my friend.
