Recently we reported that there was a shooting at the Cargo entrance of O.R. Tambo International Airport where 3 suspected robbers were shot dead.
According to reports gathered revealed that the incident was an attempted hijacking which happened around 14:04 at the main ACSA gate of O.R Tambo International Airport, Kempton Park.

O.R. Tambo International Airport is the air transport hub of South Africa, catering for more than 21 million passengers each year.
Although members of the police and security agents are still at the scene to maintain peace and as well investigate into what led to the shooting and failed hijacking attempt.
Similarly, on 15 May 2017, a man was shot dead and his passengers robbed as he was driving them through the OR Tambo International Airport on Monday, police said.
The driver of a Hyundai H1 was taking six businesspeople from Johannesburg to the airport when at least one vehicle attempt.
The killers drove off in the H1 with the passengers. They were robbed of some of their belongings and left in nearby Rhodesfield. None of them were injured, according to initial reports.
