Who Is Nancy Gathungu
Meet the new Kenya’s Audit General, Nancy Gathungu who was on Saturday 18 July sworn in at the Supreme Court.
She has assured Kenyans that her tenure will be marked with independence, credibility, relevance and accountability.
She is a Kenya public servant and expert IT audit, a staff development and quality assurance and international liaison.
Nancy has served as a Deputy Director at the Kenya National Audit Office (KNAO) from 2010 to 2014 when she left her position as the Chief Internal Audit at the Kenyatta National Hospital in 2000 and 2006.
She was on Friday July 18 2020 nominated by President Uhuru Kenyatta as the next Auditor General.
This is nine months after the retirement of Auditor General Edward Ouko in August 2019.
