Japanese actor and singer signed to Amuse, Inc who made his acting debut in 1997 in the television drama Agri and rose to popularity in the mid-2000s starring in Gokusen 3 and the 2007 film Koizora, Haruma Miura has passed away. He died at the age of 30.
The talented actor was reported to have died on July 18, 2020. Haruma Miura was found dead in his home at Minato, Tokyo by the Metropolitan Police of Tokyo.
Primary Investigation indicate that there is no foul play and he hung himself to death. Further investigations are still ongoing.
Sources said , Miura was discovered around 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 18 at his home of residence having hung himself. He was rushed to the hospital where he gave up the ghost. The incident is currently being viewed as suicide.
Although he was scheduled at work, individuals at his workplace were alarmed when he never showed and went to check on him, which is when Miura was discovered at his home.
Born on April 5, 1990, Haruma made his debut in the NHK drama Agri when he was seven. He was enrolled at Tsukuba Actor’s Studio and whilst he was still acting, formed the dance team Brash Brats with two other students. When Tsukuba Actor’s Studio closed down, Miura and his bandmates joined Amuse. Miura soon gained recognition following several dramas such as Fight. In 2005, Brash Brats went on hiatus, while Miura continued his acting career.
He was cast in the movie Koizora in 2007. The same year, he was cast in the movie Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge starring Hayato Ichihara. In 2008, he starred opposite Juri Ueno in Naoko and won the Sponichi Grand Prix Newcomer Award in the 63rd Mainichi Film Awards in 2009 for his role.
He also was given a newcomer award in the 31st Japan Academy Awards on February 15, 2008.
