Ghanaian president has given the deputy minister for Trade and Member of Parliament for Tema East Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah an ultimatum to either resign or face sack.

The news of his resignation came in on Friday after the MP granted an interview to the media houses and radio stations located in Accra the capital of the country when already he tested positive to covid-19.

The MP who tested positive to covid-19 on 23 June and was asked to self-isolate but he decided to visit several registration centres because he was asymptomatic. He was later admitted at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Thursday but has sice been discharged after his health condition improved on Friday.

After the news of his embarrassing interview broke out on the social media majority of Ghanaian went baserk on him over his behavior and described it as an irresponsible and undermining the work of the government to combat the spread of the virus in the country.

Mr Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah yesterday revealed that he was not admitted in an ICU as rumored

The MP denied reports that he has been admitted at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on suspicion of contracting coronavirus.

The reports which went viral after it was first disclosed to the public rounds had it that he was on admission together with former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Mac Manu.
