It was emotional to witness the proposal of marriage of a young Italian man to his girlfriend on her deathbed.

Edoardo Parisi entered the hospital where Chiara Giuntoli was hospitalized.

Two days later she passed away and he wrote a message that travels the world.

He asked her to marry. Two days later, she died. The promise of love from a young Italian man on his girlfriend’s deathbed touched Italy.

Edoardo Parisi, 32, entered the hospital where his girlfriend, Chiara Giuntoli , was hospitalized and asked her to marry him: “It was our happy moment , ” he explained.

The proposal was recorded in a video uploaded to social networks. In the filming, Edoardo is seen entering the hospital and reaching Chiara’s bed: ” I wanted to tell you for a while, then I postponed it and postponed it …”, he says. Meanwhile, he takes out a small blue box from his pocket and a ring: “Do you want to marry me?” He asks. Chiara looks at him surprised, excited, and answers yes.

Chiara died two days later, this Friday, at the age of 35, due to breast cancer that she had suffered for two years.

“This was your happy moment, in fact it was ours. How can you be happy in this situation? You were. The video proves it. You said, ‘Sorry, I don’t have the strength to be happier than that.’ But in this ocean of sadness, this video is proof of what I have always thought. True love always wins ” , wrote Edoardo in a moving message published on Facebook along with the filming.

Chiara, originally from Fucecchio, in the province of Florence, had discovered that she was ill two years ago. But she never lowered her arms and continued her fight against the disease with Edoardo, the man with whom she shared the last five years of life.

“This morning I woke up. I slept after I don’t know how many days. I ate breakfast alone … I secretly cried in the shower, like I did at home, because otherwise you would have been angry. Outside the sun shines and a light wind caresses my skin. I opened social networks after a long time, something that two guys like us did at all times, ” wrote Edoardo. “ I have read many messages, more or less cute, from many people. This story seemed really sad, ” continued Edoardo. “Then I stopped and thought that during your illness you have never been sad. Not because you didn’t understand the situation, but because you knew that your sadness would inevitably affect me. And you have always smiled, fought and shined ”.

“This was your happy moment, in fact, ours. How can you be happy in this situation? You were happy. The video proves it ”, added Edoardo. ” You said: excuse me, I don’t have the strength to be happier than this,” Edoardo continued , describing the moment when he asked for his girlfriend’s hand at the Cisanello hospital in Pisa.

Hoy vi demasiada tristeza a mi alrededor. Escrita, hablada, pensada.
