“It is with great #sadness and a heavy heart, that I say goodbye to my dear friend and #mentor: Dr. Mark Codner. I first met him in 2008 as his 23rd #oculoplasticsurgery fellow in #Atlanta. His personality was larger than life and his surgical skill was slicker than anyone I have ever seen. We immediately became good friends and have been so to this very day. He has touched the lives of countless patients, and taught me more than I could have ever imagined. We authored numerous manuscripts, chapters and textbooks together…and spent many an evening laughing over cocktails. I am so terribly sad. It is a dark day for plastic surgery…but you will brighten the heavens with the gifts you have given the world. You are #irreplaceable, my friend. I love you brother. Many prayers and hugs to Jane, Molly, Blake. ”
