Residents of Mooiplaas & Spriut Queue in their thousands to receive covid-19 pallatives

As the residents of Mooiplaas and Spriut had to queue for Kilometers on Thursday morning to receive their palliatives for the covid-19 pandemic.

The pallatives includes food parcels, mealie meal, vegetables, face masks, sanitizer and detergents where distributed to the Ten thousand residents who have being on lockdown since March following the coronavirus pandemic ongoing in the country.

According to Social Activist, Yusuf Abramjee who shared the post and pictures with us through his social media handle hinted that Ziyaad Shaboddin was the co-ordinator of the project alongside various organisations had come on board to support and ensure the needs of those suffering were met.

 

“The project is a targeted collaboration with a number of organisations working within the Spruit Community Support Forum.

“They hail from a diverse range of social backgrounds and religious groupings,” Abramjee said.

“Today’s food and sanitation distribution follows a previous distribution that saw to the needs of close to 8,000 recipients who turned out in a queue that stretched for close to 3km,” he said.
