Ernie Johnson decides not to cover the Champions for Charity event today because of his son Michael
Ernie Johnson Jr. a three-time Sports Emmy Award winner and host of TNT’s “Inside the NBA,” where he appears alongside basketball greats Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal today shocked fans after he decided not to cover the Champions for Charity even which was scheduled to hold today.
In a video shared online today, Ernie Johnson Jr said his reasons for taking such decision was because of his son Michael who according to him requires a constant ventilator support for 9 years therefore he chooses to stay at home and take care of him.
A fan in a Facebook post applauded Ernie Johnson for his decision.. her wrote
I want to thank Ernie Johnson from CBS sports and the PGA for his wonderful segment on why he chose not to cover the Champions for Charity event today. His son requires constant ventilator support for 9 years therefore he chose to stay home to protect him. Truly a great and loving Dad.
