Ms. Sears was very active in animal rescue. She provided foster care for the now-famous rescue dog Hope, who had been discarded with her mouth wrapped up with duct tape.
“She had a magical touch with animals,” said fellow realtor and animal rescue enthusiast Jamie Bodiford Brinkley. “She was a wonderful person who had a magical gift with animals.
My dog Flare absolutely loved Rhonda but then everybody loved her. She was very caring and very giving. She was a beautiful person with a beautiful heart.”
