David Murathe is the Jubilee Party Vice- chairman who has been a vocal point in Jubilee team campaign.

According to reports, Mr Murathe has been President Uhuru Kenyatta’s aide since he took over as the president of Kenya.

At moment he is currently the vice-chair of the governing Jubilee Party.A former MP for Gatanga constituency, a seat he won on a Social Democratic Party ticket in 1997.

In 2002, he lost the seat and retreated to a quiet life.

He came back to the public limelight in 2013 when he joined the Uhuru Ruto campaign

Kenya insider blog has revealed that Mr David Murathe made most of his wealth from the Chinese contractors who give him kickbacks in exchange for access to senior government officials in the country,a cliam that is still not confirmed though.

In the lead-up to the controversial Raila Odinga’s swearing-in, David Murathe warned that those involved in the seditious act would be hanged.

The reports also revealed he is the owner of flats off Garden Estate road.

David Murathe Assassination Attempt

The Former Jubilee vice chairman David Murathe on July 2019 lauched a scathing attach on Deputy President William Ruto over claims of a plot to assassinate him.

He also made claims that the DP attempted to influence the award of the multi-billion tender for the construction of Thwake Dam in Makueni.
