The head coach of Chippa United, Rulani Mokwena has advised the South African footballers to engage their sit-at home with their football amid coronavirus cases in the country.
Mr Rulani while speaking through his Twitter handle shared some useful and important training tips that the footballers could possible use in training as they observe their 21 days compulsory stay at home imposed by the government to reduce the rate of infection to the deadly Coronavirus.
He reiterated that the situation created by the epidemic has helped many of the footballers to be recharged, reconnected and as well reflected emotionally and on the area of family reunion, He stress the need on how the footballers should have enough time to reconnect with the ball.
He said “The Coronavirus has helped us to recharge, reconnect (and) reflect. But at the same time I think it’s important that during the process of reflection we take a little bit of time while we’re at training to reconnect also with the ball.”
We all miss football but really it’s as simple as:
If you want a football season:
-Stay home 🏡
If you want a good season:
– Workout 🏋️♀️

Rulani advised the footballers to include and manipulate all their exercises with their ball this he believe will advance in their career a their reconnect back to the field after the epidemic subsides.
“My advice to the football players is as much as the physical components of your daily routines with regards to your training programmes are important, let us not forget that we are football players. A pianist doesn’t run around the piano before he sits and plays the piano. So, include and manipulate all your exercises with the ball. Try to run, sprint to jog by using the ball, because at the end of the day your relationship with the ball is the most important thing,” he said on Twitter
