Zambia after test over 266 persons  becomes the first country in Africa to record zero cases  coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

The news was made known by the Dr Chitalu Chilufya, the Member of the National Assembly for Mansa Central and Minister of Health, he siad while breifing the memebers of the press on Saturday that that 5 more patients have been discharged bringing the cumulative number of cases to 84, 3 deaths, 42 recoveries with active cases standing at 39.

While speaking further, the Dr revealed that the total of 4,963 tests have been conducted with 2,912 completing the 14 days quarantine and there is need to adhere to the given guidelines subject to certification by public officials failure to which public events such as church gatherings or any form of social gathering will not be allowed till the spread is overcome.

“It’s important to act in solidarity with your families and the country to avoid unnecessary travels in order to avoid community spread” he said

According to the Dr, around 6 testing centers in Makeni have been set up for the screening and testing with several other parts in Lusaka will be screened to eliminate community spread.
