Who Is Jace Prescott

The formidable former Haughton High star played offensive lineman for the Demons from 2008-10 at At 6-foot-6, 343 pounds.

“He was a great kid who dominated games,” Prescott’s high school football coach, Rodney Guin told The Times. “He was a pleasure to coach — as were all the Prescott boys.”

Few Things You Need To Know About Jace Prescott

Prescott was born in Houghton, LA

The late Prescott died at the age  31.

He earned honorable mention on the LHSAA’s 2006 Class 4A All-State football team and was a First-Team Times’ 2006 All-City Football selection.

He was named the  2007 All-City Track team in the shot put.

In 2019  Jace Prescott was featured in a Campbell’s “Champions of Chunky” commercial with younger brother Dak and older brother, Tad.

Jace Prescott Career History

2009: Played in just one game, the season opener at Houston, before suffering a season ending injury.

2008: Saw action in 11 games and played 739 snaps… graded out at 77 percent for the season and compiled 42 knockdown blocks… had a high grade of 95 percent in 71 snaps against Southeastern Oklahoma… graded out at 80 percent or better in five games… had a season-high eight KO blocks against SE Oklahoma.

2007: Red shirted.

Prescott in High School: Four-time all-district, three-time all-Bossier Parish and two-time all-state honors at Haughton High School… helped his teams to district championships as a freshman and sophomore and four consecutive playoff appearances… also lettered in track and basketball.

Prescott’s Personal: Born May 10, 1988… son of Nathaniel and Peggy Prescott… two brothers, Tad and Dakota… grandfather is a retired principal… majoring in psychology with a minor in general studies… wants to teach and coach at the high school level… full name is Jace Mackenzie Prescott… nickname is “Moose.”
