Two identical twins, Katy and Emma Davies have passed away after both sisters contacted the pandemic coronavirus (COVID-19).
Katie and her sister died of coronavirus complication in a space of three days. NHS children’s nurse, Katy Davis 38 years of age died at Southampton General Hospital where she worked while her sister Emma who was a former nurse died on Friday at the same hospital.

The University Hospital Southampton have also released a statement about Katy death, describing her as a nurse people will always admire to be like.

University Hospital Southampton has today confirmed the death of a member of staff, Katy Davis, aged 38, who had tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) on admission to hospital.
“Katy had an underlying health condition and had been unwell for some time prior to her admission. She sadly died on the evening of Tuesday April 21 at Southampton General Hospital.”
Paula Head, chief executive at UHS, said: “I want to pay tribute to Katy who sadly passed away on Tuesday. Katy has been described by her colleagues where she worked in child health as a nurse people would aspire to be like and that nursing was more than just a job to her.
