Who Is Sara Fajira
Sara Fajira is an Indonesian musicians who have received many awards at the Planet Muzik Award. For the Best Newcomer category, there are two Indonesian musicians who got it.
She successfully won the award as the Best New Artiste (Female) or the best Female Newcomer. While Adrian Khalif won in a similar category, namely Best New Artiste (Male) or Best Male Newcomer.
Sara Fajira Music Career & Collaborations
In collaboration with Surabaya rapper Sara Fajira, the song “Lathi” Weird Genius successfully combined modern music with traditional music.
Sara sang a piece of Javanese lyrics that was sung with a sinden-style twist.
Sara Is a member of the music group “Weird Genius”, the group includes Reza Arap along with two other colleagues namely Eka Gustiwana and Gerald Liu.
They released their latest single Entitled “Lathi” last year.
According to Weird Genius, the title song “Lathi” is taken from the Old Javanese Language “ꦭꦛꦶ” which means speech.
“The manufacturing process is quite fast, approximately one month. The lyrics are inspired by personal experiences that might be experienced by many people, and written with Weird Genius with Sara Fajira. Musically, we balance the present EDM and English lyrics with traditional elements of Javanese instruments and languages, ” explained Weird Genius.
In 2018 the music group Weird Genius released the single “Dreams”and invited the collaboration of several other musicians such as DOLF (Barong Family), Prince Husein, and Midnight Quickie.
