Ayanda went on to take a gap year after obtaining her senior certificate, embarking on a journey of self-discovery, she did some part-time jobs in retail stores, and eventually came to the conclusion of studying Law before finding out that the applications were closed, she then decided to study Psychology and Criminology.

Ayanda MVP grew up in Nongoma, KwaZulu-Natal, and went to National School of the Arts in Braamfontein.

She obtained her degree on criminology and psychology from the University of Pretoria.

She later joined Versity Radia Station, worked with TuKS FM while hosting the breakfast drive in 2012 after her graduation from the university.

It was in 2017 Ayanda left YFM radio station with her not explaining any reasons why she left, she later got a new job in July of the same year with 947 FM and took over Stacey Norman’s slot, on weekdays from 10am – 1pm. This slot was extended to 3pm from January 2018.

“My dad got transferred for work, so work found him this side, and he thought this would be a better place for us to get a better education…and more exposure, therefore, we moved to Hillbrow when I was 5 or 6 years old,”Ayand revealed in an exclusive interview with the media.

Little Ayanda at the age of 16 got a job as a presenter with the SABC3 teen reality show Vibe’z in 2006. The show was known at that time as Phindi Mdluli, she and her crew on the show chose young aspiring musicians, actors, artists, sports stars and models.
