The South African police has arrested to notorious armed robbery suspects who were operating the evil acts along Ingome Road in C Section. The two robbery suspects ages, 30 and 23 were apprehended yesterday after attacked two persons on gunpoint and made away with cash and cellphones. KwaMashu police got report about the incidence and took swift action which lead to the arrest of the suspects.

The police swooped on a house in the area and during the search one of the suspects managed to escape. The police recovered a pistol with seven rounds of ammunition; five cellphones; a Bluetooth speaker; bags and knives from the suspects hideout. Two suspects were placed under arrest and taken to the KwaMashu police station for detention. While the police officers were processing the suspects, another person arrived at the police station to report a robbery. He positively identified the suspects as well as his bag amongst the recovered items. The suspects will appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrates Court soon, facing charges of armed robbery as well as possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Police investigations revealed that the firearm was robbed from the owner on 13 April 2020 when he was accosted by a group of men who also robbed him of cash and a watch at his business premises on Malandela Road. Further linkages are still being conducted to determine if they can be linked to the robbery and other pending cases in the area.
